The world’s leading digital audio and amplification specialist, Chord Electronics, will be making waves at the show with a number of UK firsts. The new Hugo M Scaler standalone upscaling device will make its UK hi-fi show debut, accompanied by the award-winning DAVE DAC/pre/headphone amp and one very special power amplifier, the new Etude, which features Chord Electronics’ first all-new amplifier topology since its inception in 1989.
Hugo M Scaler, the culmination of 35 years’ digital audio research, upscales standard 44.1kHz audio to 705.6kHz, an incredible 16 times the resolution of CD, using a supremely powerful FPGA processor custom-coded for unrivalled fidelity from digital audio. Coupled with DAVE and Etude, which also makes its UK show debut, this is one system not-to-miss; Raidho will be providing the speakers.
In addition to the big system, the Hugo M Scaler will also be on demonstration with headphones in combination with the new Hugo TT 2 headphone amp/DAC. Visitors will also get the chance to hear the EISA 2018 DAC and What Hi-Fi? Product of the Year 2017 Hugo 2, plus the legendary Mojo DAC/headphone amp with Poly, the wireless streaming module. The Chord Electronics room offers an ideal opportunity to experience all of the company’s new-for-2018 products under one roof.
