British speaker  innovator  Bowers &  Wilkins  is bringing  its  legendary Sound  System to the exciting music and luxury audio event; Festival of Sound on 28-30 September at Novotel London West, Hammersmith International Centre. An eclectic three-day event, Festival of Sound excitingly combines exhibitors of luxury audio, live music and not-to-be-missed seminars.

Sound System gives artists the opportunity to perform on a speaker system which brings a different dimension to their music. This year, sees the likes of Chris Difford the founding member of Squeeze, original progressors of trip hop; UNKLE’s James Lavelle and Philip Sheppard, and avant-garde synth pop group and Grammy Award winners JJ Jeczalik and Gary Langan, co-founders of Art of Noise, take to the stage. All will perform on Sound System, offering audience members the chance to experience music as it was truly meant to be heard.

Bowers & Wilkins Sound System draws upon over 50 years of acoustic excellence to produce a coveted PA system that combines the range and clarity of a top-end hi-fi speaker with the raw power required to deliver sound to thousands of music lovers. It is one of a kind and has never been commercially produced; for this reason the legend of Sound System has become renowned within the music space and festival scene.

Sound System made its debut at Primavera Sound (one of Europe’s most eclectic and innovative music festivals) in 2014. Since then, it has gone on to tour multiple summer festivals including WOMAD, Oya, and Festival No. 6.  Some of the world’s most renowned DJs have played on Sound System, notably John Talabot, Floating Points, and Jackmaster.

Structurally, Sound System is made up of a four-way active loudspeaker design comprised of four stacks which act as its foundation. Each stack stands over 3.2 metres tall. Incredible bass means Sound System is capable of an extraordinary 120dB and delivers bass that is not only amazingly powerful but also totally controlled. The same sound engineers responsible for crafting Bowers & Wilkins most famed audio products also dedicatedly worked on Sound System, producing a PA system that sounds out of this world.
